Genii Software's 3rd Annual Lotusphere Agenda Database for PDA Synching

Back by popular demand, we have built a Journal database containing all the sessions listed on the official Lotusphere site. This database is based on the personal R5 Journal with a few added views, so it should synch with the Palm Pilot. Modify it all you want or make suggestions at Ben@GeniiSoft.com

The database was created using our Midas Rich Text LSX and our new Midas HTML LSX to read the HTML and render the rich text in the documents. Come visit Genii Software's webpage for information on the Midas Rich Text LSX, but you'll have to wait until Lotusphere to see our new Midas HTML LSX and see how easy it is to access and manipulate HTML and MIME fields and files.

If you will be at Lotusphere, be sure to visit us at our showcase pedestal (#611 shared with Granite Software because I want to do more than stand there all day). Also, be sure to make a note of BP103 Make Rich Text Your Business - Using LotusScript on Tuesday at 10:30am in the Swan Osprey given by Ben Langhinrichs. Ben's session last year was filled to overflowing, so get there early to get a good seat.

Fixed sorting of times, added SessionAbstract field and abstract info into Body field

Added speakers for all sessions
Eliminated obsolete sessions and added new ones
Added new repeats
Marked repeats with a Repeat field set to 1
Marked repeat subject as repeat
Sorted titles in all views
Added BOFs, but only with times, no locations or speakers yet

Collaboration works! Others are using the session db in interesting ways:

Northern Collaborative has put together a Lotusphere 2003 Session Scheduler using the data from the sessions db.
Proposion has put together two different methods for accessing agenda data. One is a Microbrowser compatible version for PDA's and Smart Phones. The other is an XML Web Services version. See both at Proposion's Lotusphere page.
