Civility in critiquing the ideas of others is no vice. Rudeness in defending your own ideas is no virtue.

Those of you who have been reading for a while may remember that each year, I create a downloadable database with the sessions and extra stuff.  I think this is the fifth or sixth year I have done it.  In any case, I am planning a bit more for this year, so I got an early start and the database is ready with all the sessions, speakers, abstracts, etc.  Yes, I gleaned it off the web.  No, IBM does not officially sanction this, although I suspect they may link to it like they did last year if I do a good job.

Anyway, some new things are planned for this year to spruce it up a but and make it even more useful, although you will still be able to synch it with your PDA, as before.  As I have in previous years, I invite those of you out there with ideas to make your own versions, either with more functions to help planning than I have, or to make it more beautiful, or whatever.  There are some who plan demos around this database, which I used to do at my Lotusphere session, except I decided not to give one this year.  With luck, somebody will make a web services version or something even more cool.  We'll see.  In any case, if anybody wants the basic database early so they can get started, let me know and I'll put it up on the website.  Otherwise, I'll probably wait until I can update it with the rooms and times and dates and such.

Oh yes, there will be, and already is, an RSS feed for those who like their data in that fashion.  It is pretty rudimentary at this point, and the format is subject to change, but it is out there at http://www.GeniiSoft.com/LSess05.nsf/sessions.xml if you really want to start looking at it and dreaming of warmer days (that is for those of you in the frozen North who are otherwise just waiting for your invites to Canada Night, which seems to be back on this year).
