Genii Software's 6th Annual Lotusphere Agenda Database for PDA Synching and Session Planning - Now co-sponsored by Penumbra
Wait! Before downloading, did you want the Lotusphere 2008 Sessions DB instead?
Back by popular demand, we have built a Journal database containing all the sessions listed on the official Lotusphere site. This database is based on the personal R5 Journal with a few added views, so it should synch with the Palm Pilot, but it also contains a wealth of useful information for planning out your schedule. Modify it all you want or make suggestions at Ben@GeniiSoft.com. And special thanks to all those in the Penumbra Group for their features and suggestions. They have more to share coming soon as well.
Wow! Version 2 is ready, and there are more changes than I first thought. Here are a few of the changes since Version 1. I recommend everybody download this version, as this should be a great start for Lotusphere planning.
- Labs, ISV Theater, Product Showcase, etc. are now listed on the graphical calendars as well as in session views
- Additional session updates (notably BP403 and BDD401)
- BeginTime and EndTime values for all sessions in NotesDateTime format, allowing better customized apps for those who want to use this database for your own purposes
- Improved Add to My Calendar button using BeginTime and EndTime, thus making valid calendar entries with time zones
- Frappr photos accessible for some people in the Lotusphere2006 group (more later)
- Pedestals now exposed to menu, although most pedestal data is not available yet
- Updated people from actual speakers, people who have been mentioned to me, partial Frappr list, etc.
- Two new graphical views in each session db. These are the "Big Picture" of all activities at once, either from the Dolphin or Swan perspective. When looking at a session, look for the tabs that say "...in Dolphin and Y&B" and "...in Swan". Very handy!
The only part which is still not "up to date" is the Pedestal information, as IBM won't release the information yet. They will be updated in Version 3, I hope.
 But wait! Somebody wrote and asked whether you can use this database to update your Blackberry. Indeed you can. The Turtle Partnership, who are fellow Penumbra members, have provided a Blackberry integration. Actually, I don't have a Blackberry, so I'll quote the Gabriella Davis of The Turtle Partnership on how to use this thing:
An OTA (over the air) installable BB version is available based on the content in Ben's db. Go to http://www.turtleweb.com/ls2006 to install. After you have installed, revisiting/refreshing the URL will show if there's a newer version which you can automatically update.
