What can Midas contribute to blogging?

I have floated some ideas to people about ways that I could use Midas to make my blog (and potentially others) more powerful. I am playing with various ideas, the most interesting of which is probably the idea of automatic cross-referencing. Those who have seen my Lotusphere presentations know what I mean.
The idea is this. Assume that I have a list of names, concepts, products, etc. The LinkMatching method in Midas could be used to turn the names into hypertext links to that person's blog, the concepts into popups. Then, when I mention Declan Lynch, the text would automatically become Declan Lynch, and when I mention the LinkMatching method, the text would become LinkMatching method. This would further facilitate the links that make blogging useful, and would make my life easier.
I'll discuss a few more ideas shortly. You should start seeing the results on my site soon, although I may switch to BlogSphere which is a heck of a lot easier to modify.
