New samples for the Lotus Geek

by Ben Langhinrichs
After years of telling people about Midas, my good friend Rocky Oliver, the Lotus Geek, has finally started using it.  I try hard not to push friends to use Midas, but it is always fun to listen when they go on about how cool it is, like it is some new discovery.  Rocky is also a heck of an app designer, so it'll be fun to see what he manages to do with Midas.

Anyway, Rocky contacted me today from the Advisor Devcon conference because he wanted to know if you could create action hotspots with Midas.  Maybe even action hotspots on images.

Of course you can.  I whipped up a little sample for Rocky, but I thought I'd share it with those of you who might also want to see it.  It is on our regular samples page, and is one of the "featured samples" at the top for the moment.  Just to make it worth your while to visit that page, I also added a new sample showing some easy ways to Export to MS Word, either a whole document or just a rich text field.  If you want to look, you need to either already have a license or request an evaluation license (which is free).  Then, go to the  samples page and download the Action Hotspots sample and the Export to MS Word sample.  Let me know what you think, and thank Rocky for prompting me to write the Action Hotspots sample.

Sorry for taking your blog to contact - I have trouble sending you email at the moment...

I'm still looking for a solution to export bitmap images with URL Links to html image maps...
