Lotusphere 2007 bannerI know that nobody is going to reveal the actual numbers, but there have been 4167 downloads of our Sessions db, and that either speaks to an astonishing penetration into the potential audience, or a bigger crowd than we have seen in a while.  Any rumors or hints, anyone?

Well, last year took folks by surprise - over 500 people just turned up on the monday and purchased tickets - they ran out of backpacks.

Last year also they had to redesign the BP showcase three times as they were sold out. Most unlike 2002-2003 (in the depths of recession).

I'm also seeing a lot of companies - finally seeing what MS has to offer in terms of Exchange 2007 - retaining and upgrading their Notes infrastructure. Lots of v5 -> v7 upgrades going on right now.

Do I think 2007 will be better than 2006 ? I wouldnt bet on "bigger" just yet - they havent split the opening general session *yet* - but they have reopened the yacht club conference rooms on the agenda - but I think for sure it wont be smaller.

I do know I'll be busier than a one-legged man at an ass-kicking competion...

@Wild Bill

I'd rather be busy like a one-legged man than frustrated like a three-legged dog trying to poop on a frozen pond. :) (got that one from Larry the Cable Guy on Sirius Blue Collar Channel)

I just hope I won't have to fight my way to the hands-on sessions.

Ben - sorry my test code downloaded the database 3,000 times over the last few weeks. Hopefully my story will appear in Wild Bill's Worst Practices session...

All kidding aside I have a feeling we will see the same attendance levels as 2006. Just a gut but I do hope of course that it will be a lot more than last year :-)
