Microsoft not quite getting the Wow!

On Seth Godin's blog, he has a post called Wow!, which references the new Microsoft launch ad campaign for Microsoft Vista.  The image is from this New York Times article.  You spend $500 million on an ad campaign, you might want to try to explain the Wow! to your executives, who look apprehensive at best, grumpy at worst.

To be fair here, this is obviously not a criticism of Vista, which I have not yet had a chance to try.  I just think that Microsoft is going to have to push hard to make an operating system that is years overdue into a "cool new" thing.  I hope they can, but everything is going to have to go right.  Just saying "Wow" isn't quite enough.
