I voted

It is election day here in the United States, so, as I have every time since I have been old enough to do so, I voted.  My name showed up correctly on the voter rools even though I moved this year.  The new electronic voting machine worked correctly and was easy to read and understand.  The printed record of my vote matched my actual vote.  The whole process took relatively little time.

I just can't get over the feeling that I wish I were not so surprised.
